Terms of service

Last updated 10 September 2026

These are the terms on which Chatterton Tuition Ltd provides CHATT+. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.

1. Who we are

CHATT+ is provided by Chatterton Tuition Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Chatterton Tuition Ltd, and “you” means the person who holds the account.

You can reach us at admin@chattertontuition.co.uk.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or over to hold an account. The account is held by a parent or guardian, not by a child: children practise under profiles that you create and control.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think somebody else has got into it.

The account is for the children in your own household. It is not for sharing with other families, and it is not a licence for a school, a tutoring business or a club.

3. Subscriptions and payment

CHATT+ costs £9.99 per child, per month. If you have more than one child on the account, you pay that amount for each of them.

Payment is taken monthly in advance by card through Stripe, our payment provider. We do not see or store your card details.

The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. Adding or removing a child changes what you pay from your next bill.

If we change the price, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you are free to cancel rather than accept it.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account, which opens the Stripe billing portal. There is no minimum term, no notice period and nobody to ring.

Cancelling stops the next payment. Payments already taken are not refunded as a matter of course, but if something has gone wrong, write to us and we will sort it out.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where a payment fails and is not put right.

5. The question bank

The questions, passages and papers in CHATT+ belong to Chatterton Tuition Ltd, or are used by us with permission. You may use them for your own children’s practice while your subscription is running.

You may not copy, download in bulk, republish, sell or share the content, or use it to teach other people’s children commercially.

6. What CHATT+ does and does not promise

CHATT+ is practice material. It is not a guarantee of a place at any school and it is not a prediction of any result. No practice app can promise that, and we would rather say so here than imply otherwise elsewhere.

We work to keep the app available and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, and we may change or remove features as it develops.

If you find a question you believe is wrong, tell us. We would rather fix it than leave it in front of a child.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Otherwise, our liability to you for any claim connected with CHATT+ is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of opportunity, exam results or anything else that was not a foreseeable consequence of our breaking these terms.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Carrying on using CHATT+ after that means you accept the new terms.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
